Long overdue update...

A lot has happened since I last posted!  Right now, I'm managing 2 blogs (this one and a personal one, which is private) and I'm sorry that this one fell through the cracks.  I would like to turn this one into more of a family/personal blog vs. solely a construction blog, so I redesigned the layout and created a new header as motivation!  Hopefully my posts will be more frequent and more interesting now!

To quickly bring you up to speed on the progress of our house:
     1) We reviewed and signed off on the blueprints April 18, 2008.
     2) We broke ground May 12, 2008.
     3) Foundation:  Foundation was dug, 1st rough-in for plumbing, the basement walls
           were poured, then the basement floor and garage floor were poured.
     4) Framing:  The walls were framed, then the roof was installed.
     5) House was covered in Tyvek and windows and doors were installed.
     6) Shingles were installed on the roof.
     7) Mechanicals:  Second rough-in for plumbing, 1st rough-in for electrical, cable,
           and phone/Internet.
     8) Exterior:  Siding was installed (still need shutters as of this post).
     9) Insulation was installed.
     10) We had our pre-drywall meeting July 25, 2008.  Only minor points needed addressed.
     11) They began installing drywall later that day.
     12) Our driveway and some of our sidewalk have been poured.
